St Davids Place & Church View

About the development

Considerable investment in Moss Bank by Helena Partnerships – including External Wall Insulation and Solar PV – has significantly improved both the appearance and energy efficiency of existing stock in the area. The new build, our first in Moss Bank, is part of this on-going process of regeneration.

The development straddled two separate sites. The Eskdale plot, land owned by Helena, required significant remediation due to a number of historic coal mining voids. Throughout the development period, the contractor maximised community engagement and awareness and provided a number of training and apprenticeship opportunities for local residents.

The scheme has proved very popular with local residents in fact, there’s been considerable interest in both the rental and sales units. This is our first new build development in Moss Bank and complements the EWI and Decent Homes work that has been carried out on Helena properties in recent years. By building a further 22 homes we are demonstrating an on-going commitment to sustaining and developing the Moss Bank community.
